Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Uni women lead celebratory events

Professor Elizabeth Taylor AO and Dr Barbara Webster have helped to lead events held to celebrate International Women's Day.

Dr Webster was guest speaker for a Zonta Club breakfast at Rockhampton Heritage Village on Sunday, March 8 (the actual day).

Meanwhile, Professor Taylor was a guest speaker for a Regional Women's Network lunch at Rockhampton Travelodge on the Monday, March 9.
