Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Staff Welcome at 'Homestay' Dinner 

CQU staff and their families and friends are encouraged to attend a fundraising dinner at Old Glenmore Homestead, from 6.30pm this Saturday, November 9.

The dinner, organised by the Language Centre, will help support Homestay families who are planning a trip to Japan next year.

The dinner will feature live music, Aussie tucker and bush dancing. Dowie's Bus Service is providing transport, with pick-ups at several locations in Yeppoon and Rockhampton.
