Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Spanish and English evening language classes available

The Language Centre at CQU Rockhampton is offering Spanish and English evening language classes from next week onwards.

There will be a sign-on and meet-the-teacher evening from 6pm-7pm on Wednesday January 23 at the CQU Language Centre (Building 11).

Students registering for the courses are required to pay fees on the evening. Course fees start at $200, with some additional costs for course materials.

The Spanish classes are for all levels. The English classes are for beginners looking to improve their general English skills.
