Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Researcher rolls out Blue Care Staff Wellness Program 

CQUniversity postgraduate student Roxanne Machen has continued to roll out the Blue Care Staff Wellness Program, with a launch at Blue Care Gracemere Gardens this week.

Ms Machen is involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of the program which promotes a lifestyle wellness journey, much richer than standard diet and exercise regimes.

The program is being rolled out to participants throughout the Central Queensland and Fraser Coast regions.
