Local writers have worked with local artists - including Brian Keogh, Peter Indans, Ross Coulter, Dell Nash, Cecile Boulton, Vera Fennel,  and sculptor and wood carver Noel Brady - to produce both poetry and works of art, in many cases describing our Australian and Capricorn Coast environment.

There will be several poems read on the day by the poets, and artist Bob Stack is compiling a small booklet which will be available at The Gallery.

CQUniversity's Idiom 23 Magazine has been a part of organising this special event, which will also feature an announcement of the University's Bauhinia Literary Awards (short story and poetry categories) for 2008.

The award sponsors will also be thanked: CQUniversity, CQUniversity Bookshop, Regional Centre of the Arts (RCotA), Anderson Consulting Engineers, The Yellow Door Books & Music, The Criterion Hotel Motel, The Byte Centre, PRD Realty, Yeppoon, and Keppel Bay Marina (Waterline Cafe).
