CQU staff were advised via email by the Vice Chancellor last week that the Trial Audit Feedback Report is available on the CQU Quality website: http://www.quality.cqu.edu.au/doc.document.htm .

In order to meet our organisational needs, the Trial Auditors had a limited amount of time to prepare for and conduct the audit and write the feedback report. This has lead to some errors and omissions, but these are minor in nature and do not affect the outcomes.

The Trial Audit played an important review role, has assisted the University in improving the Performance Portfolio, and has given staff and students experience in preparing for and being involved in an AUQA audit.

It is important to be aware that the AUQA panel will be larger, and will have more time to prepare for and conduct the audit. Therefore it can be expected that the AUQA audit will be considerably more extensive and thorough.

This is likely to result in:.

 more people being interviewed;.

 more locations being visited;.

 a more detailed investigation and analysis; and.

 open sessions, call-back sessions and informal ‘walkabouts’ occurring.

Information Sessions will be held on Thursday May 19 and Friday May 20 to discuss the organisational learnings from the Trial Audit and the Feedback Report. The plan for revising the Performance Portfolio and the schedule for preparing for the October AUQA audit will also be shared. Further details will be confirmed early next week via email.
