Emerald farewells first batch of learning managers

Three years ago, CQU Emerald welcomed its first cohort of Bachelor of Learning Management students.

This group of students ranged from high school-leavers to parents and grandparents.

PhotoID:3379 On Friday, September 29, this group of people came together to celebrate the end of their journey to become teachers.

With studies finally over, everyone was stress-free and relaxed and enjoyed a sumptuous 3-course meal prepared by the Australian Agricultural College.

CQU Emerald Campus Co-ordinator Pat Moran said: “I’m so proud of each and every one of them. We have produced some very talented teachers and I’m very happy to report that we have 20 graduates and 2 of them already have jobs. I love them all dearly and look forward to dealing with them professionally as teachers in the future".

Although this cohort won’t attend a graduation ceremony until next year, they wanted to come together as a group one last time in Emerald before they all go their separate ways.

Some very close bonds and friendships have been formed over the past 3 years.
