"I was absolutely blessed and excited to win my category. It is great to have such a great incentive in Tassie for local original artists," she said.

After releasing her EP ‘Troubled Minds' last year she has been working and playing in various venues in Launceston and Hobart as a solo artist and with her band.

She has also been playing in various cover acts including an acoustic duo and jazz band and also teaches voice and piano at schools around Launceston.

"I have been busy writing new material and working towards recording my first full album which I hope to do by the end of this year."
