A Rockhampton car crash victim has been recruited by the Australian Gliders Squad and has begun training with the squad in preparation for the wheelchair basketball World Championships 'Gold Cup' in 2006 and the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
Joining the sport only 15 months ago, Schouten has gone from strength to strength on court, impressing both state and national selectors.

CQU Bachelor of Communications student Suzannah Baker was recently crowned Miss Show Girl for 2005 at the 75th Monto Heritage Show.
Suzannh told the 'South Burnett Times' that she entered the quest to make new friends and learn more about the history and importance of Queensland's various shows particularly in rural areas.
