CQU nursing graduates were the most highly sought after in the Wide Bay Health Service District's recent nurse recruitment campaign.
The health service has employed 13 CQU nursing graduates to fill more than half of the 20 positions that were offered.

Current and recent staff members from across the University were recognised with the announcement of Meritorious Staff Service medals (or in one case a plaque) during the Rockhampton staff Christmas party on Thursday December 13.
More than 100 CQU staff members turned out for the celebration and paid tribute to the long service of 51 current and former staff.

The official opening of the Sunshine Coast's newest university facility recently (Nov 30) acknowledged the partnerships underpinning community development and the delivery of education in one of Australia's fastest growing regions.
Local representatives from the education and health sectors joined with community leaders and Central Queensland University representatives at the event at the Noosaville Professional Centre in Goodchap Street.

Central Queensland University staff have put their hands in their pockets for charities this Christmas in the hope they can make the festive season more enjoyable for a few battling families in Central Queensland.
Donations came in from across the Rockhampton campus for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, filling a number of Santa sacks with festive foods and gifts.
