Around 30 nations were represented when 125 CQU students gathered to celebrate their graduation at Brisbane's Sebel and Citigate Presidential Ballroom, on December 11.
The ceremony included graduates from the Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses.

Despite a power blackout at the exact time of celebrations for Sri Lanka's Day of Independence, Sri Lankan students turned up to enjoy some Kiribath (a rice-milk dish) with staff of CQU Melbourne International Campus.
Sri Lankan-born staff member Gerald Bottoni led the assembled students (some of around 120 Sri Lankans based at the campus) in an emotional version of the Sri Lankan national anthem, made all the more stirring by being sung in the dark.
