Today's Market Day and 'funny money' auction events are among the highlights of Orientation Week on Rockhampton Campus.
Around lunchtime, crowds of new students thronged around the Student Association building for the annual Market Day.

Hearing about defence careers were Anastasia Ivanova and Elise Renton with Sgt Ray Hemmings.
As well as a free sausage sizzle and music, there were plenty of giveaways and chances to joint clubs and associations.
Student Association reps were handing out 'O' Week Bags along with wall planners, shirts, rulers, folders, keyrings, trial computer software and various brochures.
Other giveaways included icecreams, hats, movie tickets, hotel event tickets, pens and keyrings.
Later in the afternoon, the 'funny money' auction will be in full swing.
There have been plenty of opportunities for fun activities and socialising but Orientation Week has also had a focus on accessing academic services and assistance.
The event now caters for a broad range of participants, including school leavers, adult learners, parents and partners, on-campus students, distance and flex students, regional campus students and international students.
Student mentors - more advanced students available to show the newbies the ropes - are a significant key to the event's success and are even available to those studying on-line.
Promoting the Student Association was third year nursing student Vanessa Renton.
On the student life stall were James McIntyre and Caitlin Cribb.
Shikha Mago and Suzi Hancock passed on information about student exchanges to Sian Garde.
