Sneak peek into CQUni's research

"The forum demonstrated not only the wealth of creative talent in the Rockhampton region, but also the important relationship between creative practitioners and the University," said event host Dr Lynda Hawryluk.

"CQUniversity encourages creativity in many forms, and provides the opportunity for artists, writers and musicians to pursue research degrees in their chosen discipline.

"In addition, the local and regional community benefits from this research directly via workshops, performances and opportunities to participate in events such as the Creativity and Research Forum. The forum has been a great opportunity for those interested in creativity and its application to research to gather and we look forward to further events."

Participants discussed a great range of projects and themes, ranging from 'food writers as activists' and 'creative writing as a healing art' to 'medical tourism' and 'transmedia broadcasting'.
