Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Researcher relates spirituality to psychological health 

CQUniversity's International Program of Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) has announced the appointment* of Dr Marie-Therese Proctor as an Adjunct Research Fellow...

Dr Proctor is a psychologist whose research interests and areas of expertise include:

 - spirituality and its relationship to psychological health;

- child and family psychosocial experiences associated with managing childhood life-limiting and life-threatening illness; and

-  family systems and health.

This appointment heralds a close collaboration between IPP-SHR and The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, and will allow for collaboration with Dr Proctor in her appointment as a Psychologist and Research Officer for the Life-Limiting Conditions Project within The Children's Hospital at Westmead's Oncology Department.
