Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

A total of 94 graduates representing 21 nationalities attended this week's (August 31) CQUniversity graduation ceremony at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre...

The ceremony - CQUniversity's first at the Gold Coast - featured a guest address by prominent businessman Darryl Somerville.

Recipients of the Brisbane and Gold Coast State Directors' Leadership Awards included Debjit Palit, Varun Pawagi, Jumana Mohemadally and Anjalee Herath.

Debjit also delivered the Response by the Graduates' Representative.
