Bob is the Administrator of the Dreamtime Cultural Centre in Rockhampton which is an innovative Indigenous business providing high-standard conference and motel facilities.

He has held this position for the past 17 years and has a long background in providing Indigenous training services as a former Senior Training Officer with the Central Queensland Aboriginal Corporation for Training Resources.

In 2001, Mr Blair was awarded the Centenary Medal for service to the community through cultural awareness activities.

He has been a Board member of Indigenous Business Australia since 1998. As well as being Deputy Chairman, he chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Remuneration Committee.

The Medal was introduced in 2004 to highlight the significance of leadership in management (both current and in the future) to the ongoing prosperity of the Central Queensland region.

This medal celebrates the contribution of dynamic, pivotal and senior leaders in our private, public, corporate or voluntary sector organisations - individuals whose names are now synonymous with leadership in management.

Leadership in management is not necessarily about holding a position at the highest level or in the largest organisation.  Instead, it is about the running of private, public, corporate and voluntary organisations in a dynamic and successful fashion.  It is about the setting of organisational goals and achieving them with flair.

This Medal, therefore, is not for an organisation, but rather recognises the contribution of an individual who has exhibited consistent, outstanding leadership to the organisation in which they work over a significant period of time.
