Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Food Choices study seeks participants 

CQUniversity Rockhampton Post-Doctoral Fellow Dr Susan Williams is seeking participants for her Kids and Family Food Choices study, due to start in May.

The nutritionist's study will check the role of family food purchases and choices in the health and wellbeing of young children.

Parents taking part should have a child or children aged between 2 and 5. Participants will benefit by gaining an insight into their home environment.

Dr Williams will analyse grocery dockets and other food receipts over a two-week period and compare children's quality of life and wellbeing.
