Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Almost 200 graduate in Melbourne 

Almost 200 students representing 20 nationalities graduated from CQUniversity during a ceremony in Melbourne this week (Monday, Dec 8) at the Palladium Ballroom Crown Towers at Southbank.

The guest speaker was business consultant Maruta Rodan and Saba Shabnam Maqsood Iqbal delivered the Response by the Graduates' Representative.

Chancellor Rennie Fritschy and Vice-Chancellor and President Professor John Rickard officiated at the event.
