"I am honoured to stand before you here today as a new graduate of CQUniversity.  I'd like to begin by thanking our guest speaker Mr William McInnes for his inspirational words. I am certain that they come from a place of experience as he was once standing where we, as new graduates of CQUniversity stand today and many of us would be proud to follow in his footsteps.

Tonight is a night of reflection and celebration. It is the end of an important chapter of all of our lives, as we celebrate the results of our hard work and perseverance.  There is no doubt that we all share a thirst for knowledge and all of us will move forward and learn more every day.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank, on behalf of my fellow graduates, our lecturers and the compassionate CQUniversity staff for their ongoing encouragement and support throughout all of our time here at CQUniversity. We also thank our family and friends for their sacrifices on our behalf and their unwavering support without which, many of us would not be here before you as new graduates.

Our years at CQUniversity have shaped us as individuals and our shared experiences will be looked back on with fondness for years to come. Our time spent here has prepared us with the skills, knowledge and ambition to move forward and to pursue our dreams with passion. For this we all are thankful as we step into the future full of nervous excitement.

I am proud to be a part of this group of accomplished individuals and all of you should have pride in yourself for your achievements as I am sure those around you have pride in you. I would like to extend my earnest congratulations to my fellow graduates, tonight is your night, so celebrate, be thankful and tomorrow step forward and live your life as you have dreamed it."
