Dr Jerome Egwurube was born in Nigeria, has lectured in Nigeria and Botswana, and is now living and working in Rockhampton.
Dr Egwurube, who holds a PhD in highway engineering, has been a professional engineer and a member of a Nigerian Federal Government committee for monitoring road maintenance projects.

Professionals and researchers involved in mining rehabilitation and environmental management will converge for a series of workshops at CQUniversity Rockhampton, from noon on Thursday March 25.
This Central Queensland Mining Rehabilitation Group (CQMRG) event has the theme of Mine Planning (towards Closure) and will encompass water issues, community development, erosion modelling, biodiversity and the use of cattle as a tool for mine site rehabilitation.

The free CQUniversity Experience program is a week-long residential event at Rockhampton Campus during school holidays (June 28 - July 2).

CQUniversity's new Professor of Horticultural Science Phil Brown has visited Rockhampton Campus to meet Centre for Plant and Water Science staff members and postgraduate students.
Professor Brown is based at Bundaberg, where he has a dual role with the University and with Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries (QPI&F) as Research Leader, Vegetable Crop Science.

Rockhampton-based doctoral researcher Ashfaque Chowdhury is looking forward to receiving his prize of a new ASUS Eee Pc, after becoming a weekly winner of Engineers Australia's 'Make it so' campaign.
Ashfaque asked to "make it so that a universal charger can be used in all the electronic devices to recharge them".
