- Rocky to host weekend of 'international cricket'

The CQUniversity Chancellor's Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament is planned to involve visiting international students and Australian players in a round-robin series of limited-overs matches at the Rockhampton Campus.
It will be held on the weekend of August 16-17.

Research balances 'hang ups' about overseas call centres

CQUniversity research has provided another perspective to balance anecdotal reporting of customer dissatisfaction with calls from culturally and linguistically remote staff.
The study may go some way towards reducing anxiety about offshoring of jobs, according to CQUniversity Sydney academic Dr Alison Owens.

North Keppel Island will bring out the best in writers taking part in the ‘Footprints in the Sand: Writing as a Journey' event, from September 12-14.
Organised by Idiom 23 Magazine, the event at the island's Environmental Education Centre will feature a workshop on ‘Creative Writing and a Sense of Place'.
