- Trade expo gives Sports Centre a different taste

Over 1000 people visited the Kele Bros Food and Hospitality Trade Expo at the CQU Sports Centre in Rockhampton last week (Wednesday 24 October).
This was the third expo for the region, but the first hosted at CQU.

A total of 32 students, mostly from the Faculty of Business & Informatics, are due to celebrate their graduation at Hong Kong's Royal Plaza Hotel, from 2.30pm on Saturday, November 10.

Simon Ward credits his jazz degree with helping him reach a professional performance level, because it has taken him way beyond classroom exercises.
The former Bundaberg student has been at Mackay's Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) studying a Bachelor of Jazz Studies, since finishing high school in 2004.

Fergus Scott of Emu Park has just finished his degree at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) in Mackay and over the last 3 years has had plenty of exposure to life as a professional musician.
"I've played so many gigs as part of the degree that I feel I've reached a level that would have taken me 6 years had I not enrolled in this degree" said Fergus.

Central Queensland University's historians Associate Professor Steve Mullins, Dr Mike Danaher and Dr Barbara Webster displayed some of their recent research at a historical exhibition in Rockhampton on the weekend.
The exhibition titled, History! Live it!, allowed historical societies, collections, museums and associated groups from Rockhampton and the surrounding districts to feature some of their works and facilities available to the local community.
