CQUniversity Rockhampton recently hosted a campus experience for gifted secondary students drawn from the Central Queensland region.
The visitors used our Harvard Lecture Theatre for their project presentations, pitching ideas for a new horror movie.

CQUniversity student Ben Knight is the latest Power Engineering Research Group member to achieve success, gaining the 'best paper' award at the 20th Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference (AUPEC 2010).
The conference, held in Christchurch from December 5-8, is the premium conference in electrical power engineering in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.

As a CQUniversity Co-op Engineering student earlier this year, Sean Kane completed his final-year project thesis investigating this technique to improve the shear strength of damaged concrete sections.

One of Australia's youngest universities has cemented its roots in history by planting one of the oldest species of trees in the world at a Central Queensland campus.
CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman recently planted a Wollemi Pine on the Rockhampton campus grounds, adding a touch of heritage to the acres of established gardens and parklands at the University.
