There's a rumbling among the ranks of Rockhampton's baseball enthusiasts that could see the sport hit back in the future.
Several Australian professional baseball players are leading the push for the local baseball league to be revitalised and an exhibition match by the Queensland league has been planned for the Queen's Birthday weekend at the CQUniversity diamond.

The National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) has awarded CQUniversity researcher Dr Karl Neuenfeldt with the inaugural National Film and Sound Archive Award for Sound Heritage.

Around 200 people aged between 11 and 78 recently visited CQUniversity Mackay to hear from one of the key production team members from the world's highest-grossing movie - Avatar.
Dana Peters, the Head of the Creatures Department at visual effects and animation studio Weta Digital*, delivered a free seminar about 'The Making of Avatar'.

A CQUniversity student and a recent graduate - both mums - are embracing the spirit of Kokoda.
Recent Bachelor of Property graduate Alyson Huntley and current Property student Kylie McKiernan, together with Natalie Blackwell and Jody Nicholls from Southbank TAFE, are tackling the Kokoda Challenge for the second year in a row.

CQUniversity student Kylie McKiernan has been able to progress within the property industry thanks to support from her long-time employer Herron Todd White, a national property valuation firm.
Ms McKiernan started as a secretary and has since been an accounts manager, office manager and operations manager, on her way to becoming an assistant property valuer with HTW in Brisbane.
