After two years of lead-up, lecturers have started to enrol and begin their studies in what is a collaborative offering across the institutions.

A dozen students from Japan's Komatsu Municipal High School have gained a taste of Australia during a two-week visit to Rockhampton region (July 11-24).
While based at CQUniversity's English Language Centre and staying with local Homestay families, the visitors managed to cram in plenty of experiences, as well as plenty of Australian cooking.

CQUniversity lecturer Kim Kirkman recently joined local school music specialist David Bayliss and visiting composer Sarah Hopkins to conduct Divine Kitchen Experience events, as part of Mackay's Arts Festival.
A preparatory workshop and soup-lunch concert featured performers from Mackay North State High School Big Band and Mackay Choral Society.

India's Riti Sharan and former Bangladesh student Sadia Jihan Khan have crossed paths in Rockhampton, where they have been swapping notes on using metals to kill water-borne diseases.
The PhD researchers share a common supervisor, Professor Rob Reed at CQUniversity, and both presented posters on their projects at the Australian Society of Microbiology Conference in Sydney recently (July 4-8).
