Staff from Rockhampton and all Australian International Campuses gathered to workshop Quality Assurance and Compliance at the CQU Sydney International Campus.
The workshop kicked off with gusto when Professor Ken Hawkins addressed the group.

Although English is the official language of Fiji, a recent survey at the CQU Fiji International Campus revealed that over 90% of the students and staff speak a language other than English at home – predominantly Fijian, Hindi, Chinese and Gujarati.
Despite this diverse range of languages and cultures, a special relationship exists between the students and staff at this unique campus – a model for others in the wider community to follow.

The number of CQU Mackay Education graduates is expected to grow by 30 per cent by the end of 2003, despite a qualified teacher shortage in other states. Graduate numbers will jump from 60 in 2002 to an estimated 87 students finishing studies in 2003.

Social workers and other community and human service practitioners will focus on confidence building at a seminar to be held at Central Queensland University on Friday 18 October.
The seminar titled “Practice is Confidence Building” will be presented by two Mackay-based social workers, Irene Davison and Anne Butcher.

The Rockhampton branch of the Royal Queensland Art Society, in conjunction with the University, is staging the exhibition in the Appleton Gallery in building 5 at the Rockhampton campus.
