65 students (from the Faculties of Arts, Health and Sciences, Business and Law, and Informatics and Communication) graduated from CQU Fiji International Campus this month in a ceremony filled with applause of family and friends who have supported them through their years of university study.
There were stirring renditions of the Australian and Fijian National Anthems and the students processed regally to the strains of “Trumpet Voluntary”.

Nursing education for the Sunshine Coast region is now available, thanks to a new partnership between Central Queensland University and University of the Sunshine Coast.
Working with nurse managers in the private, public and community health sectors, as well as Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE (CSIT), the two institutions will jointly deliver a Bachelor of Health (Nursing) degree from the start of 2003.

Employers will have the opportunity to access the right person for the job through a new web-based employment site hosted by Central Queesland University’s Counselling, Careers and Health division.
Due for release on 8 July, Career Hub will enable CQU students and recent graduates to access information about positions vacant, create and distribute resumes and apply for positions online.

Central Queensland University (CQU) Professor Kevin Fagg has been appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor, Resources, through July 2005. Professor Fagg has specific responsibilities for finance, budget, information technology personnel services and industrial relations.
