Phillip is one of seven 2009 Hail Creek Mine CQUniversity Scholarship recipients and said the assistance and extra opportunities provided by the scholarship are helping him make the most of his university experience.

With the CQ Community Sports Centre refurbished and back in action, CQUniversity's Rockhampton Orientation Week will kick off in the large venue, so around 500 new students have the chance to mingle before splitting into smaller groups.
The Monday (Feb 22) program starts with formal welcomes and academic service briefings before students have the chance to wander around various info stalls in a market format.

CQUniversity hopes the development of a Regional Services Hub in Moranbah will extend the reach of new Pathways Careers Centres in Gladstone and Mackay.
The University is backing development of a Hub in Moranbah, as proposed by Moranbah and District Support Services.
