- Uni proud to have meaty role during national Beef Expo

CQUniversity is proud to be a Supporting Partner for Australia's National Beef Exposition - known as Beef Week - in Rockhampton from May 4-9.
The University is offering something for everyone, with a particular focus on alumni, who are encouraged to take a free Graduates' Pit Stop at the Garden Grill of the Rockhampton Showgrounds venue from 5pm-7pm on Friday May 8.

Blackwater resident and retired dragline operator Ron Moon, who spent 37 years working in the mining industry, contacted the University seeking help in restoring a century-old photograph from his family's past.

Brendon Harms from Bororen has been announced the winner of the 2009 Desmond Tabone Engineering Scholarship.
Brendon was presented with the scholarship at the recent Academic Prize and Scholarship celebration at CQUniversity Rockhampton.

Guest speaker Andrew Woodley - Hail Creek Mine General Manager Operations - addressed 139 graduates, including 3 celebrating completion of PhDs.

CQUniversity's Crystal Chopping (Marketing Promotion and Recruitment Officer) and Ron Bishop (Senior Lecturer, Aviation Technology) recently travelled to Brisbane to meet with 60 Aviation High School Year 12 Students to promote CQUniversity's Bachelor of Aviation Technology degree.
Aviation High School focuses on education related to Aerospace for Year 8 to Year 12 students.

All are welcome at a presentation about the progress of CQUniversity's electronic Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation (eOCR) platform.
The free event, from 1pm-2pm on Friday May 8, will outline the research, including the rationale and design of the randomized control trial for secondary prevention of coronary heart disease.
