- Crime fighter set to address Sydney graduation

Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace will be guest speaker for next Tuesday's (May 14) graduation ceremony hosted by CQUniversity in Sydney.
As a junior constable in 1986, Deborah was chosen to play the part of murdered Sydney nurse Anita Cobby in a police re-enactment of the crime that shocked a nation.

Community members are asked to clear out their bookshelves and donate generously to the CQUniversity Library Society's Annual Second Hand Book Sale on August 18.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in November, the Library Society is hoping this year's book sale will be the biggest and best fundraiser so far.

A study into how mental health problems can affect students, and what support services they need from staff while at university, will be explored through interviews conducted by CQUniversity.
The joint research project between CQUniversity and Curtin University hopes to improve university experiences for students who are identified as managing a mental health problem.

CQUniversity researcher Dr Anjum Naweed has been gaining worldwide renown for his focus on improving the fidelity of a freight locomotive simulator, after it has been deployed.
This project has been funded by the CRC for Rail Simulation and pertains to the rail simulator now housed at the Appleton Institute (CQUniversity's Adelaide Campus) where Dr Naweed is based.
