CQU General Manager Commercial Operations Paul Lancaster, based at Rockhampton Campus, has been moonlighting as a volunteer with Angel Flight Australia.
Angel Flight is a charity that coordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people.

Thirty girls from the Mackay-Barcaldine-Gympie triangle were at CQU Rockhampton for Camp Discovery - a 3-day camp for senior high school students interested in study options in arts, humanities and education (July 17-19).
The camp gave participants the chance to experience University life and to stay at the Capricornia College residential facility.

CQU is promoting the vibrancy of a new faculty structure and the likely popularity of its degrees through a series of breakfast meetings.
The meetings involving academics, community leaders and employers were scheduled from 7am in Rockhampton (July 20), Noosa (July 21), Emerald (August 3), Bundaberg (August 4), Mackay (August 9) and Gladstone (August 10).

CQU's female staff and students are encouraged to nominate (or to be nominated) for the Smart Women - Smart State Award, which will recognise women who shine in science, engineering and ICT.
The Queensland Government’s Office for Women invites nominations for the Smart Women – Smart State Awards 2006 before August 4 this year.

The NIT reports that 18-year-old Amy was born in Sydney and grew up in Rockhampton.

Last Saturday afternoon, 157 nervous and excited graduates graced the stage of the Mackay Entertainment Centre to celebrate with friends, family and staff from CQU.

Janine Bella celebrated her graduation with her parents and 5 sisters, last weekend at CQU Mackay' s 10th Graduation Ceremony held at the Mackay Entertainment Centre.
Janine was awarded a Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) with Distinction.
