Rockhampton Venue and Events' upcoming production of West Side Story will put the spotlight on CQU's performing arts program when two recent graduates and two current students feature in the cast.

A snapshot of Queensland will be generated from a public opinion phone survey to be held mid-2007.
The Population Research Laboratory, based at CQU Rockhampton, will conduct the third annual Queensland Social Survey (2007 QSS) in July and August this year.

The man responsible for developing the original legislation and administrative framework that implemented HECS is now calling for a review of whether the current system is the fairest way to ensure students make an equitable contribution to the cost of their education.
John Mullarvey told graduates at this week's CQU Rockhampton ceremony (March 12) that he did not believe the current scheme could be called a 'contribution scheme' when the level of debt now incurred by students was more than a simple contribution. - Bundaberg hosts first science class in new lab

Renowned Torres Strait-based singer and songwriter Seaman Dan developed his recording career with the help of CQU Bundaberg researcher Dr Karl Neuenfeldt.
Seaman has also been a popular contributor to CQU's Multicultural Fair.
