- Noosa crew 'in tent' on community interaction

Staff and students associated with CQUniversity Noosa lent their talents to a 'Creative Kids' tent at the inaugural Great Noosa Camp Out recently.
Lecturer Sue Davis' involvement was sparked by networking during last year's Noosa Creative Alliance project and she was supported by colleagues, including Campus Academic Manager Susan Richardson and part-time tutor (and ceramic artist) Ellen Appleby.

CQUniversity researcher David Jones has been recognised during a ceremony in Paris for his work on 'one of the world's 5 best Information Systems publications'.
The award recognition for 'The Anatomy of a Design Theory', co-written with Professor Shirley Gregor of ANU (a former CQUniversity staff member), came from the International Conference on Information Systems and its senior scholars.

CQUniversity researcher Dr Surya P. Bhattarai travelled to Nepal over the Christmas break to present a paper during an international seminar on 'Local Infrastructure Development: Challenges and Opportunities'.

Great teachers are the product of quality tertiary programs stressing learning design and instructional strategies, not necessarily an automatic outcome of school OP results.
That is according to Associate Professor Dr Ken Purnell, of CQUniversity.

CQUniversity's Professor Elizabeth Taylor AO recently attended the launch of the Engineers for the Future report in Sydney.
The immediate past national president of Engineers Australia, Julie Hammer (pictured left) launched the report which addresses the supply and quality of Australian engineering graduates for the 21st century.

CQUniversity staff are stretching their legs ready for this Sunday's (January 19) Sports Expo Fun Run coordinated by the Rockhampton Regional Council in conjunction with Rockhampton Road Runners.
The University has 2 teams of walkers and runners represented, all from Navigate CQUni.
