Organisers are encouraging University staff and students to get involved and to form teams.

A morning tea has been held to congratulate John Maxwell Memorial Scholarship winner Sarah Biskupski, who is the third recipient since the annual award was first offered.
Those attending included members of the Maxwell family, The Rock CEO Andrew Paynter and staff who once worked with Mr Maxwell.

She stood out recently by earning three student award prizes for academic excellence; the ASI Undergraduate Steel Design Prize, the Porters Engineering Prize and the RACQ Prize.

CQUniversity Mackay's Careers and Employment Service has joined with the world's largest recruitment firm to launch the national youth employment program - the Adecco Way to Work Program - on campus in Mackay.

The Federal Shadow Minister for Universities and Research, Senator Brett Mason visited CQUniversity Rockhampton this week for meetings with senior staff, chats with students and tours of key facilities.
During his visit, the Senator inspected the new Central Queensland Innovation and Research Precinct (CQIRP) and Health Clinic building.

Three researchers who achieved 'runner-up' status in awards conducted by the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) have been recognised during a ceremony at CQUniversity.

Rockhampton accountancy firm Evans Edwards and Associates has hosted a morning tea to congratulate high-achieving CQUniversity Bachelor of Accounting student Vira Kalmanu.
Mr Kalmanu has won the annual Evans Edwards and Associates prize of $400 plus a plaque and certificate for achieving the highest weighted GPA (Grade Point Average) among Rockhampton region students enrolled in the Company and Association Law, Accounting Systems and Assurance, and Corporate Accounting subjects.
