RAIL Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) has attracted international commercial interest in its newly developed innovative brake technology – OZ-ECP Brakes.
Rail CRC, based at CQU Rockhampton, was established and supported under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centres program.

The annual Active Kids Sporting and Recreation Camp is scheduled for CQU Rockhampton from January 15-19, 2007.
Active Kids Rockhampton has been developed by the School of Health & Human Performance to give boys and girls aged 9 – 13 plenty to do after the Christmas excitement has died down.

CQU has agreed to be a foundation supporter of QREX - the Queensland Resources Expo due to be held from May 23-26 next year in Rockhampton.
Coordinated by Rockhampton Tourist and Business Information, the event will include a trade show, a conference, site tours, seminars, workshops and demonstrations.

A study by the International Program for Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR) has shown that involvement in qualitative research can be a beneficial and an empowering experience for people coping with difficult life situations.
The issue was explored in response to concerns commonly voiced by ethics committees and researchers about the impact of research participation on vulnerable or stressed groups.
