CQUniversity researchers have produced more published results indicating promise in the use of copper jugs to reduce waterborne diseases which threaten millions of lives in developing countries, including cholerae and typhoid.
Dr Riti Sharan and Professor Reed have worked with Sanjay Chhibber from India's Punjab University on their study of bacteria in water stored in traditional copper vessels for up to 24 hours at 30 degrees celcius.

Professor Bronwyn Fredericks, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) and BMA Chair in Indigenous Engagement, and Dr Marc Broadbent, School of Nursing and Midwifery, both attended the 23rd International Nursing Research Congress (Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International).
Previous CQUniversity academic Professor Lorna Moxham also attended with over 1000 other researchers.

Property industry trends will be discussed during a half-day conference to be based in Rockhampton and videoconferenced to Bundaberg, Mackay, Gladstone and Noosa.
The event arranged by CQUniversity will involve property sector identities, legal experts, academics and students enrolled in the Bachelor of Property degree.

Rockhampton will get a taste of international sport from August 7-9 as international students descend on the Beef Capital for the annual Chancellor's Challenge Cup hosted by CQUniversity.
The players will represent CQUniversity campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Rockhampton, in competitions for cricket, futsal soccer, volleyball and table tennis.

This week, local Aboriginal artists delivered works from some of the region's best artists to CQUniversity's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Scott Bowman.
The artworks were recently on display at Rockhampton's Walter Reid Centre as part of the first public exhibition for the Capricornia Arts Mob (CAM), held in early July.

Link-Up (Qld) Services started in 1984 in response to concerns about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who had been separated from their families and communities by actions of past government policies.
