Australian scientist, educator, journalist, author and media personality Dr Stephen Juan was guest speaker for our Sydney international campus graduations at Star City's Grand Harbour Ballroom yesterday (Wednesday September 3).
The postgraduate ceremony was held at 10.

A passion for working with island communities has lead Fijian villager Sereana Cokanasiga to meet the challenges of making a difference in the South Pacific.
Originally from Naduri Village in Macuata province in Fiji and later from Suva, Sereana has experienced a mix of rural and urban life.

A vibrant community event was the setting for Simone Warkill's recognition as the first recipient of the Australian South Sea Islander Community Foundation Scholarship to graduate from CQUniversity.
A ceremony to recognise her achievement was held during the 'Linking the Generations 2008' Australian South Sea Islander Recognition Family Fun Day, held in Rockhampton on August 30.

The home team triumphed in the Chancellor's Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament held at CQUniversity Rockhampton last month, after a series of close encounters. The final match featured Rockhamton versus the Gold Coast in a very tense game.

Congratulations to CQUniversity researcher Dr Ashley Bunce who has been recognised this week (Sept 1) with a Natural Resource Management Mentor Award.
The award was among those announced during the Burnett Mary Regional Group's NRM Awards evening held in Bundaberg, to coincide with the Burnett Mary Partnership Showcase.
