CQU researcher Dr Karl Neuenfeldt has had a busy schedule, accompanying singer-songwriter Seaman Dan to major engagements.
Associate Professor Neuenfeldt, who helped launch Seaman's recording career, has helped conduct a workshop on Indigenous Maritime Music during the Flinders Island Dreaming component of the Ten Days on the Island festival on Tasmania's Flinders Island.

The Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and CQU (Gold Sponsor) are leading the search for Australia’s best managers as the 2005 Management Excellence Awards (MEAs) are launched in Central Queensland.

Fifty-five local high school students recently spent a day at Central Queensland University Gladstone campus to learn a little more about life at university.
The students from Tannum Sands State High School attended a day of lectures, tutorials and information sessions.

The McLaren Vale Wineries of South Australia hosted a pretty unusual book launch on Saturday April 2.
CQU Press (Outback Books) launched 'Ten Thousand Campfires: Memoirs of a Camel Safari Leader' by Rex Ellis.
- Victorian Governor hosts reception for international students

Six students from CQU Melbourne International Campus attended a reception at Government House recently (March 15) as part of a week-long celebration of International Education in Victoria.
Campus Director Mr Darryl Stewart accompanied the students to the function where they joined some 450 Victorian students for an official welcome and tour of the stately building.

A forthcoming TV series called 'Remote Area Nurse', to be screened on SBS this spring, will feature a song off the 'Saltwater Songs' CD, produced by CQU researcher Dr Karl Neuenfeldt.
The song to be used will be Ngai Bubu Ya by Dujon Niue.
