CQU Melbourne International Campus has received a major profile boost within Melbourne, courtesy of a new widespread advertising campaign.
The campaign was designed to attract potential students and promote programs offered at CQU Melbourne in time for Spring/Summer enrolment.

As part of a series of moves at CQU Melbourne International Campus, Professor Paul Rodan has accepted the new role of General Manager, Academic Programs for the Australian International Campuses (based in Melbourne).
Consequential transfers are Professor Gerry Anderson who will move from the role of Sub-Dean, Faculty of Business & Law to Head, Academic Programs and Ken Bruce who will take up the role of Acting Sub-Dean, Faculty of Business & Law.

Employment opportunities for students at CQU Melbourne International Campus have been expanded with the introduction of the Industry Exchange Program.
The program has been designed by the Melbourne TECC (Training, Employment and Careers Coaching) Unit to provide mutual benefits for students and employers.

A CQU Melbourne International Campus student has been selected to work as a database operator in the first round of volunteer placements for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Anil Bellamkonda is currently studying for his Masters of Information Systems at CQU Melbourne.

Since early December, the eight self-review teams have conducted more than 70 hours of interviews, group meetings and focus groups to assess the University’s performance against the Quality Management Framework (QMF).
These activities involved staff and students from a cross-section of campuses and disciplines, as well as members of the community.

CQU’s Associate Professor Gayle Jennings recently took recreation leave to fulfil her final duties as a Board Member of the International Society of Travel and Tourism Education (ISTTE) and Conference Paper Chair.
These duties culminated at the 2004 ISTTE Conference held in Hong Kong, SAR China.

A Salvation Army representative will today pick up toys and non-perishable food collected by around 50 CQU staff and students under the coordination of the CQU Golden Key Chapter.
The pick-up will take place in the Building 19 (Ron Young Building) reception at CQU Rockhampton at 10am.

Three key staff members (pictured) have seen CQU evolve from a small regional education institution to the international organisation it is today.
At a ceremony at CQU Rockhampton this week Vice-Chancellor John Rickard was able to award two 35-years and one 25-years meritorious service medals in person, among a list of other long service awards.

Hon Justice Stan Jones has been recognised for his dedication and commitment to the Rockhampton legal system and Central Queensland University with the naming of the ‘Stan Jones Precinct’ in Rockhampton.
The precinct incorporates the former District Court, Supreme Court and Magistrates Court in East Street, which now house CQU functions.
