Get your weekend off to a great start this Friday October 21 at the 'Big Night In' jazz concert being held at the CQCM Theatre, Boundary Road, Mackay.
Presented by staff and students from the Bachelor of Jazz Studies program at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM), the concert is a showcase of this year's work and incorporates an eclectic mix of musical styles and groups.

A special Completion Ceremony was held recently to congratulate 60 students who completed their Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) at Central Queensland University Mackay.
The students, who embarked on a 12-week accelerated or a 24-week extended program, have been undertaking studies in academic communication (assignment writing and referencing), mathematics, computing, independent learning skills, study skills and library/information literacy skills.
