The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) joined forces with Artspace Mackay to offer another free concert last Friday.
Students from the Bachelor of Music (Performing Arts) program were accompanied by CQCM’s Robert Keane, who also performed.

Dr Sandra Walker, from the School of Nursing and Health Studies, has been invited to join the editorial panel for the peer-reviewed quarterly journal, 'Birth Issues'.
Birth Issues aims to reflect the interests of: midwives, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, physiotherapists, and other health professionals working in maternal and child health.

Mexican university student Rafael Lima has travelled half way around the world to capture an Aussie educational experience here in Central Queensland.
Rafael believes his study of mechanical engineering at Central Queensland University Rockhampton will help kick start his career as an engineer on his return to Mexico next year.

Central Queensland University's Bachelor of Human Movement Science degree is ahead of the pack, according to the Course Experience Questionnaire administered by the Graduate Careers Council of Australia.
Head of the School of Health and Human Performance, Dr Peter Reaburn said graduates of the degree had rated it the best in Australia on three vital indicators.

CQU Melbourne International lecturer from the Faculty of Business and Law, Ken Bruce, addressed a group of training managers at Financial Services Training Managers’ Forums held in Melbourne and Sydney recently.
About 90 training managers came from major financial services organisations including CBA, AMP, Merrill Lynch, AXA, Australian Unity General Insurance Limited, Goldman Sachs, JBWere and Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Portuguese was not a common language of choice at CQU Gladstone until recently when the campus hosted a visit by Brazilian TV presenter Joelita Jsia Senedese, host of the popular lifestyle program 'Tempo Perfeito' (perfect time).
'Tempo Perfeito' is for third-age people( 50s+) and Joelita develops interviews, reports and news linked to the improvement of life of third-age people in, for example, health, beauty, behaviour, science, nutrition and adult learning.
