About 4 years ago, Emeritus Professor Ken Dutton was called on to inspect a hand-written volume found during a stocktake in the library at the University of Newcastle.
The volume was mostly written in French and the archivist remembered that Professor Dutton had been a French specialist.

A CQUniversity research team led by Professor Brenda Happell has gained a Queensland Nursing Council (QNC) grant worth $29,000 for research aimed at ensuring nurses are healthier.
The project is entitled 'Promotion of physical and psychosocial well being of nurses in a regional Queensland hospital'.

Regulations, obligations and rights were all terms which came into play during Wednesday's (July 22) Hypothetical Breakfast at Rockhampton Leagues Club.
The Hypothetical topic was 'Licence to operate - Necessary evil or hidden opportunity' and participants debated this from a wide range of angles.

Thanks to Skype technology, CQUniversity's Learning Management (Japanese) students are getting used to regular chats with students in Japan, to hone their language skills.
The next phase, in Term 3, is for other Learning Management students to learn how to teach English as a foreign language.

A morning tea was held this week at Nulloo Yumbah* on CQUniversity Rockhampton Campus to recognise students who have successfully completed courses in the Tertiary Entry Program (TEP).
These students are currently on campus for a Term 2 residential school.
