- Girls' Grammar student wins iPod at Open Day

Rockhampton Girls' Grammar School student, Stephanie Trost, took home an iPod after entering a competition at CQU’s Open Day recently.
To enter, participants were required to attend 1 of the Open Day Lunchbox sessions organised by the Faculty of Business and Informatics.

At the Engineering Co-op Program information evening in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay on Tuesday August 22, potential engineering students and their parents will hear why CQU is ranked among the highest-rated universities.
CQU received a five-star rating in the 2007 Good Universities Guide for positive graduate outcomes and the Bachelor of Engineering Co-Op/Diploma of Professional Practice Program has contributed to these results.

Six young female actors have banded together to seek professional work, as they prepare to graduate from CQU's performing arts degree.
They will debut an experimental theatre act called 'Family Portrait' in front of a Brisbane audience set to include festival organisers and other industry contacts.

CQCM lecturer, Kim Kirkman has once again made the news but this time has been interviewed by TIME magazine.
Elizabeth Keenan, TIME magazine journalist, heard about Kim’s work with the Mackay Choral Society as Music Director for its up and coming production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera 'The Gondoliers' and thought it sounded like a good story.

The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music lecturers and students both past and present will take on a variety of lead roles in the up and coming Mackay Choral Society production of 'The Gondoliers'.
Heading a ‘Mackay’ star cast, is Performer and Musical Director Dimitri Kopanakis who takes a major role to sing the main baritone role of Giuseppe.

The staff and students of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) have started to welcome audiences for their latest major production.
First, second and third-year Bachelor of Music Theatre students have been working with guest director Trevor Green to re-create the music of Alan Menken and the words of Howard Ashman, to present 'Little Shop of Horrors'.
